Not much for us to do in the orchard at the moment, so we're swotting up. This is a very slow book, hardly anything happens, but it's bizarrely delightful and quite hypnotic. 'Orchard' is providing a lovely roadmap to reinforce the importance of biodiversity for our orchard to thrive. It takes the the audience gently through the theatre of an orchard as the year progresses. Of particular note, the sight of wasps attacking apples for food signals the end of summer in the orchard, no less!
Bring on the seasons we're excited to see which creatures make our orchard their home this year. Diversity is king.
